He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Refner and Edna Refner (Peckhart); his great grandchild Evan Scott; and his siblings, Charles "Brick" Refner, Jack Refner, Bonnie Sharp, Mary Webb, Edith McNamara, Dorothy Watkins, Angeline Smith and Alice Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila J. Forrest; his children, Michael (Susan Refner), Jeannine (Michael Wehrenberg) and Janette (Mark Jones); his grandchildren, Sara Kruhmin (Michael), Megan Cline (Royce), Kyle Wehrenberg and Jenna Scott (Eric); and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah, Isaac Kruhmin and Myles Scott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Larry and Sheila's great-great-nephew, Parker Hantz, for his heart repair surgery.
