She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Kirtland and Vera Berends (Prentice); her husband J. Irving Grove; her sons, David Grove (Linda) and Dana Clarkson-Grove (Marion); and her sisters, Clara Kirtland and Shirley Schawe.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Penokie (Ken) of Escanaba, Anna Bender (Lynn) of Waterloo, Joella Carol Melton (Jay) of Dixon, Missouri and Bill Grove (Mary) of Granger; and her sister Ruthann Westra of Palm Springs. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
