It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vaughn Eldon Garrett of Washington, Indiana, born in Burns City, Indiana, who passed away on August 28, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolla V. Garrett and Hildred Garrett (Waggoner); his children, VJ Garrett (Jerri) and Melinda Rodimel (Shane); and his siblings, Larry, Kenny Garrett, Marilyn Rollins and Evelyn Jo Holmes.
He is survived by: his significant other Sue Garrett (McGovren); his sister Norma Crane; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Garrett of Loogootee and Patrick McGovren (Cel) of Sarasota, FL; his children, Dan Garrett (Gail), Diane Hartman (Kyle) of Evansville, Julie Lendy (Murray) of Newburgh, Jim Garrett (Amy) of Kuttawa and Amy Nichols (Greg) of Carmel; and his children-in-law, Jerri Garrett of Bentonville and Shane Rodimel of Carmel. He is also survived by twenty five grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren.
