He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Eleanor Mattingly (Tennis); his sisters, Rita Elliott of Loogootee and Patricia Tow of Fishers; his parents, John Mattingly and Mary Mattingly (Kavanaugh); his siblings, Veronica "Bonnie" Tennis, Mary Alma Melton, Beatrice Sheets, Dorothy Jean Ellis, Alberta Turner, Norbert Mattingly, John Mattingly, Gerald Mattingly, Francis "Frank" Mattingly, James "Pete" Mattingly, Joe Mattingly, Doris Ann Mattingly and Katherine Agnes Mattingly; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Tennis and Richard J. Tennis; and his great-nephew Francis W. Tennis. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
