She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vertis and Cora Pearl Taylor (Chastain); her husband Clarence Emmons; her children, Valarie Jean Gabhart, Mark and Greg Emmons; and her siblings, Pansy Ada Gee, Alice Bateman, Ernest, Boyd, Hubert and Herman Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Emmons, Whitney Gabhart and John Gabhart. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
