Roger Gillingham Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Gillingham of Washington, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Gillingham and June G. Gillingham (Sternberg); his wife Sue Gillingham (Whitlock) of Vincennes; and his sisters, Darlene Y. Johnson (Gillingham) of Waterford, PA and Gwendlynne P. Eisert (Gillingham) of Erie.
He is survived by: his children, Richard R. Gillingham (Phyllis) of Greenfield, IN, Robert E. Gillingham of Longmont, CO, Ronald M. Gillingham (Karen) of Yorktown, VA, Russ E. Gillingham (Bartty Adams) of Front Royal, VA, Thomas R. Gillingham (Jamie) of Vincennes, S. Renee Gillingham (Rebecca Gardner) of Sewickley, PA and Rory E. Gillingham of Erie, PA; his daughter-in-law Margaret E. Gillingham (Litherland) of Oceanside, CA.; and his sisters-in-law, Lynda Garland (Whitlock) of Champaign, IL, Judy Elliott (Whitlock) of Aurora, CO and Diane Whitlock (Anderson) of Denton, TX.. He is also survived by loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws, nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home (2020 State St, Washington, IN 47501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
