He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Goedde and Emma Goedde (Wischmeyer); his wife Sharon Goedde (Summit); and his siblings, Gerald, Donald Goedde, Eleanor Wood and Vera Knott.

He is survived by: his daughter Jane M. Wildenthaler of Signal Hill, California; and his sister Joann Ruen of Columbus Grove, Ohio.
