He was predeceased by: his father Amos Wittmer; and his brother Nelson Wittmer. He is survived by: his mother Lily Mae Wittmer (Graber); his wife Christina Wittmer (Allen) of Washington, IN; his children, Jon Wittmer of Sarasota, FL, Kate Heinz (Craig) of Vincennes, IN, Jared Wittmer (Yesenia) of Washington, IN, Amy O'Neill (Charles) of Otwell, IN and Anna Allen (Austin) of Cannelburg, IN; his grandchildren, Adlee Heinz, Barrett Heinz, Noah Wittmer and Matilda O'Neill; and his siblings, Coleen Swartzentruber (Ed) of Washington, IN, Janell Graber (Bob) of Cannelburg, IN, Carmen Yoder (Mark) of Montgomery, IN and Merlin Wittmer (Beth) of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Providence Mennonite Church (4738 US-50, Montgomery, IN 47558). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Barr-Reeve Boy's Baseball Program. Donation envelopes will be provided.
