He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Frank" Thompson and Charlotte Cox Thompson; and his sisters, Opal Stilwell, Fern Wagner and Hollace Roach.
He is survived by: his wife Vi Thompson; his daughters, Mary Ann Hoopingarner (Bob) and Connie Englehart (Bryan); and his grandchildren, Shannon Walters (Andy), Rob Hoopingarner (Sarah), Craig Hoopingarner, Tiffanie Arthur (Gary) and Taylor Gray (Tyler). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
