She is survived by: her children, Janet Plahn of Vincennes and Michael J. Coers of Washington; her grandchildren, Kathryn Plahn, Matthew Plahn and Elizabeth "Izzy" Plahn; her sister Nancy McCarthy of Springfield, Illinois; and her pet Sadie.
