He was predeceased by: his parents, Genevieve Bennett (Sauley) and Edward Bennett; his significant other Helen F. Bennett; his son Dan Bennett; his great grandchild Josie Heidenreich; his daughter-in-law Susan Bennett; and his siblings, Charles Bennett, Marylou Smith, Jackie Ralston, Shirley Mundt and Edna "Sis" Tilley.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Bennett, Scott Bennett (Marla), Marty Bennett (Julie) and Tracey McCain (Bill, Jr.); his daughter-in-law Mary Bennett of Washington; his sister Anna Kelly; and his sister-in-law Louella Bennett of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
