He was predeceased by: his parents, Eulis Wade and Evie Lee Stephens (Hendrix); his sons, Jeffery and Jerry; and his siblings, Bill, Clarence, Doug Stephens, Jean Chandler and Betty Crain.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Stephens (Babbs); and his children, Debbie Matthews of Charlestown and David Franklin Stephens of Hanover Park, Illinois. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
