Betty Jean Sandefur Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2025, at the age of 90, Betty Jean Sandefur (Washington, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry and Hattie Mae Burns (Wood); her husband Donald L. Sandefur; and her siblings, Gladys Siedel, Barbara Kelly, Jack Burns, Elsie Sandefur, Donald and Ronald Burns.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Cullen (Stephen) of Washington, IN and Karen Robbins (Ralph) of Cumming, GA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Boyd (Greg), Amy Archer (Aaron), Daniel Cullen (Carol), Kyle Robbins, Sarah Robbins, Rachel Abumaria (Mohammad) and Megan Chapman (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Austin Boyd (Katie), Alex Boyd (Jade Browning), Aiden Boyd, Adrianna Archer, Avalynne Archer, Saif Abumaria and Silas Chapman; and her great great grandchild Baylee Kay Boyd.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Christian Church (559 E 100 S, Washington, IN 47501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The Sandefur family has requested memorial contributions be made to The Villages at Oakridge in Betty's name.
