He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hartman and Pauline Hartman (Harman); his wife Patricia Clark Hartman; his son Kevin Hartman; and his siblings, Dori, Margaret, Ellis and Roudrick.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Barton (Donnie), Michelle Hartman Kistler and Melissa Hartman. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
