He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Pavón Basalo and Rogelio Luis Basalo. He is survived by: his son Diego Basalo (Kelly); his grandchildren, Gabriel and Veronica Basalo; and his sisters, Hilda, Edilia, Elsa Basalo and Elvira Basalo (Spain). He is also survived by father and relished his role as a grandfather as he especially loved his grandchildren.
