He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva I. Denton (McClish) and Luther M. Denton; his former wife Barbara Johnson Chiddister; his daughter Kathy Alderfer; and his siblings, Betty, James, Harold and Carroll.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Denton of Warsaw, IN; his sons, Foy Banghart (Teresa) of Mentone, IN, Tim Banghart of Mentone, IN, Frank Banghart (Rachel) of Mentone, IN and Donald Chiddister of Goshen, IN; his stepchildren, Beth (Rick), Williams of Rochester, IN, Penny Banghart of Warsaw, IN, Katina (Jeremy), Robinson of Warsaw, IN, Pam Shaffer of Angola, IN, Michelle McKee (Matt) of Goshen, IN and Tammie Denton of Warsaw, IN; and his siblings, Francis (Sonia), Ethel Weaver of Syracuse, IN and Carolyn Hapner of Syracuse, IN. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
