He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buddy L. Smith and Ellen R. Smith (Perceful); his wife Brenda Smith of Warsaw; his sons, Lance Smith of Martinsburg and Brian Smith of Valparaiso; his granddaughter Lana Smith of Hanover, PA; and his brothers, Brett Smith (Jody) of Warsaw and Terry Smith (JoEllen) of Warsaw. He was also cherished by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be directed to Titus Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses and medical bills.
