He was predeceased by: his parents, Merl Engle and Blanch Engle (Harper); his sons, Bruce Allen Engle and Douglas Lyle Engle; and his siblings, Gene Engle, Merlene Kassebaum, Mary "Frankie" Noble, Royse Engle and Ruth Seiffert.
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Engle (Carla), James Engle (Lynnette) and Todd Engle (Janice); and his sister Nancy Kleeman. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
