He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Koontz and Myra Koontz. He is survived by: his wife Janice Koontz; his brother Charles Koontz (Alice); and his sons, Larry Koontz (Jean) and Rick Koontz (Tammy). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
