He was predeceased by: his parents, Nero Wadkins and Minerva Wadkins (Robinson); his sons, Kenneth Ray and Ronald Keith Wadkins; his parents-in-law, Geneva and Charles Holbrook; and his siblings, Charlotte Oaks, Richmond and Lloyd Wadkins.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Lee Wadkins of Rochester; his children, Johnny R. Wadkins II (Gretchen) of Bourbon, Jennifer Lee (Joe Kilgore) of Walton and Heather S. (Juan Murillo) of Warsaw; his siblings, Joyce Hoskins (Manchester), Bill (Mary Wadkins) of Silver Lake and Lon Wadkins of Disko; his grandchildren, Cheyenne (Jon), Jenny, Juan Carlos, Rudy, Alex, Braeden, Grant, Sofie, Sadie, Addy, Oakley, Gibson, Annabelle and Gracelynn; and his great grandchildren, Julian and Haisleigh.

Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Sportsmans & Farmers Conservation Club of Silver Lake.
