He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale E. Hinesley and Gladys I. Hinesley (Reddick); his sister Jayne (Ron Burnstrum); his brothers-in-law, Warren Thurman and Richard Mayer; and his nephew James "Jimmy" Thurman.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marlene Thurman of Newman, GA and Dixie Mayer of Valparaiso, IN. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews and their children.
