He was predeceased by: his parents, Madeline Marie Dawalt (Pfeiffer) and Murl Albert Dawalt; his wife Judy Dawalt; his sister Marlene; his daughter Kelly Jefferson; and his son-in-law Brent Howard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra (Kidder), Dara Howard, Angela (Reed) and Jody Yeazel; his grandchildren, Devin, Deanna, Deacon, Adam, Andrea, Alex, Laine, Bruce, James, Alexis and Tara; and his siblings, Mary Ann (Stine), Peggy (Conley) and Carl (Donna). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
