She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Closson and Alfaretta Hilton Closson; her grandson Matthew Carr; and her siblings, Ralph Closson, George Closson, John Closson, Gertrude Closson Armick, Jean Closson, Mary Closson Green and Virginia Closson Persinger.
She is survived by: her husband Dick Carr; and her children, Virginia Beth Sims (Terry) of Warsaw, Indiana and Richard Elliott Carr (Kandy). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 7 great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
