He was predeceased by: his parents, Isom Hurd and Worlie Hurd; and his siblings, Katherine, Gordon, Lorenza, Shular, Esta and Joe Ed.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Hurd (Sondra), Chrystal Kreiger (Greg), Subrina Miller (Parrish) and Felisa Tennant (Leroy); and his siblings, Gary Hurd (Sandy), Don Hurd (Cindy) and Mary Spencer (James). He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
