He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lucas Sr. and Gladys Lucas (Marshall); his wife Doris; and his siblings, Richard Lucas, Helen McFarren and Wannita Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Les Lucas (Doris A.) of Warsaw, Deb Tharp (Paul), Mindy Tharp and Trish Hernandez; and his siblings, Carl Jr. Lucas, Pearl Fischer, Cora Barger and Wilma Terhune. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
