He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Claribel Nieter (Kilmer) and Cyril Frederick Nieter; his wife Dorothy Jane "Dot" Haenes; and his sister Jacqueline Rose Nieter. He is survived by: his sons, Gary (Bonnie), Randy (Cindy) and Rod (Kim); and his grandchildren, Aaron (Brooke), Jeremy Nieter of Warsaw, IN, Tad (Kara), Brent (Kim), Gregory (Amanda), Lori (Dustin), McCollum of Chesapeake, VA and Morgan Nieter of Memphis, IN. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
