He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Detwiler and Fern E. Detwiler (Stutsman); his siblings, John R. Detwiler (Irene), Paul Detwiler (Elaine), Sarah Gross (Bud), Ruby Hershberger (Roland), Pearl Reid (Tom), Janet Roderick (Phil) and Rebecca Irvin (George); and his grandchildren, Thomas Detwiler and Eric Detwiler.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Rinehart (Don); his wife Patricia J. Lemmon; his children, Kenneth L. Detwiler (Cindy) of Bloomington, IN, Lawrence E. Detwiler (Lynn) of Hartsville, IN and Sharon K. Sanders (Ross) of Greentown, IN.; his grandchildren, Joshua Detwiler (Siobhan), April Strasler (Rett), Sarah Detwiler, Amy Hutchison (Adam), Samuel Detwiler, Valerie Walter (Max) and Katrina Martinelli (Jenson); and his great grandchildren, Zoe Detwiler, Ava Strasler, Charles Hutchison, Clementine Strasler, Alex Hutchison, Molly Hutchison, James Strasler, William Hutchison, Maverick Strasler, Sawyer Hutchison, Adeline Hutchison and Valentine Strasler.
