He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Thompson (Hibbins) and Phil Thompson; his former wife Geraldine Thompson (Burkett); and his children, Elige "J. R." and Michell Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Thompson; his daughter Robin Thompson; and his siblings, Mae Jarrell (Donnie), Phyllis Sherman (Kevin), Edith Marsillett, Bill Monroe Thompson and Darvin Thompson (Connie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be directed to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 to go towards his funeral expenses and would be very much appreciated by the family.
