He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry F. Herendeen and Evelyn Herendeen; his wife Valda Krebs; and his siblings, Wayne Herendeen, Anita Flannery, Helen Herendeen and Alice Howard.
He is survived by: his sons, Rich Herendeen (Pam) and Kyle Herendeen; and his grandsons, Tyler Herendeen and Brady Herendeen (Ashlynn).
