He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred McDermit and Evelyn McDermit (Stewart); his wife Judy McDermit (Estep) of Warsaw; his children, Kevin McDermit (Deanna) and Jody Kinsey (Robert); his stepchildren, Tom Eherenman, Shawn Patterson (Duane), Melanie Rooney (Jim) and Ted Eherenman; and his brother Robert J. McDermit. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
