He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hover and Dorothy Hover (Woodling); his granddaughters, Jennifer and Heather Emelio; and his sisters, Myra Rogers and Susie Stamper.

He is survived by: his wife Pat Hover; and his children, Mary Carlson (Kurt), Ed Hover (Janel), Cathy Gaskill, Rusty Ritter (Denise) of Warsaw and David Gaskill of Goshen. He is also survived by Seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
