He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace B. Swope and Velma R. Swope; his wife Cleda Lawhorn (Dean); his sons, Bruce and Steven Swope; and his brothers, Richard Swope, Danny Swope, Donald Swope, Jack Swope and William Swope.
He is survived by: his daughter Christina Swope (Jennifer); his daughter-in-law Kathryn Swope; his grandchildren, Beatrice Cooper, Sophie Swope, Wesley Soliday, Morgan Swope and Avery Swope; and his sister Betty Rainwater.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Animal Welfare League, 1048 S 325 E, Pierceton, IN 46562.
