He was predeceased by: his parents, James Levi and Hazel Elizabeth Snyder (Groce); his former wife Lois Stewart Snyder; his daughter Helen; and his siblings, Glenn Snyder, Ivan Snyder, Lavena Cox, Pearl Snyder, Helen Smith and Vera Moore.
He is survived by: his former wife Lois Lucille Stewart; his wife Rita Joan Schobert Snyder; his children, Beth Laxton (Michael) and Allen C. Snyder (Christine); his stepdaughters, Dr. Carol Schobert (Flat Rock), Martha Heinrich (Charles) and Nancy Jones; and his siblings, Jane Bell (Fred), Sarah Snyder, Larry Snyder and Lee Snyder (Denise). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild.
