She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Burkett and Magdline Burkett (Judd); and her siblings, Donnie Burkett, Tom Burkett, Carol Akers, Liz Campbell and Gene Burkett.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry L. Sparks; her daughters, Judy Cahill (Jeremy) of Pierceton and Rita Slater of Warsaw; her grandsons, Dustin and Lane Cahill; and her great grandchildren, Addilynn and Amelia Cahill of Warsaw.
