He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas H. Anson and Georgia Anson (Noble); his wife Juanita (Wesco); his brother Philip Dean; his daughter Debra Gardner; and his children-in-law, Dave Gardner and Karen Anson.
He is survived by: his sons, Arden Anson of Roanoke, IN and Aaron Anson (Joleen) of Andrews, IN; and his grandchildren, Jason Gardner (Michelle), Amber Lecher (Mike), Andrea White (Jeff), Angie Ulrich (Scott), Apryl Goeglein (Darren), Autumn Scher (Sam), John Anson (Jodi), Molly Follis, Dolly Blair (Derek) and Evan Anson. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Applegate Chapel, Heritage Point (801 N Huntington Ave, Warren, IN 46792). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Cemetery (3688 E 400 N, Huntington, IN 46750).
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Andrews Lions Club, Heartland Hospice, or Huntington County Historical Society, all in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
