He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Lorraine Thurman (Puckett); his parents, James Ollie Thurman and Hazel Thurman (Thornburgh); and his siblings, Edgar Thurman, Noble Thurman, Alfred Thurman, Byron Thurman, Kenneth Thurman and Genevieve Turner.
He is survived by: his children, Judith Wilson of Port Charlotte, FL, Richard L. Thurman (Barbara) and Ed Thurman (Rhonda); his sister Barbara McQueary of Wabash, IN; and his siblings-in-law, Minevia Thurman of Marion, IN, Shirley Puckett and Gerald Turner of Van Buren, IN. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces & Nephews.
