He was predeceased by: his father Harry Sumwalt; and his daughter Rebecca England. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Sumwalt (Myers); his children, Dan K. Sumwalt (Marsha), William E. Sumwalt (Sara) and Cynthia "Susie" Sumwalt of Bluffton, IN; and his siblings, Mildred Coppock of Chicago, IL and Max Sumwalt (Betty) of Muncie, IN. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
