He is survived by: his parents, Celia M. Smith and Beatrice I. Smith (Gooding); his spouse Thelma S. Krom; his children, Alice Dyer of Huntington and Gerald R. Smith of Lakeland, Florida; his grandchildren, Karen Allard of Union City, Kathy Robinson (Kevin) of Hillsdale, Kerrie Lynn Watson of Akron and Keith Watson of Camden, Michigan; his siblings, Paul Smith (Doris) of Morenci, Curtis Smith (Dee) of Fort Wayne, Edgar Smith (Debbie) of Lagro, Indiana, Harriet Askew (Jon) of Mesa and Celia Shankster of Roann; and his brother-in-law Melvin Royer of Indiana. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren.
