She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Stoops and Emma Stoops (Niccum); and her brother Eldon Stoops. She is survived by: her husband David L. Compton of Warren; her daughters, Christina "Chirsty" Jackson of Albion and Cathleen "Cathy" Poreman (Steve) of Granger, Indiana; her grandchildren, Alec Poreman (Katlin) of Fishers, Evan Poreman of Tampa, Shane Compton of Texas, Christopher Castle of Warsaw and Brianna Castle of Iowa; and her great grandchild Sage Poreman of Fishers.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church (150 2nd St, La Fontaine, IN 46984). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
