She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Gipson and Frances Gipson (Davis); her daughter Marsha Mathews; her sons-in-law, T. J. Sizemore, James Smith and Nick Papalambros; her grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Matthew; and her great grandchildren, Gracin and Liam.
She is survived by: her husband James Mathews; and her children, Glenda Sizemore, Chyral Smith, Rita McKinney (Terry), Dwayne Mathews (Lousia), Tammy Papalambros, Michael Mathews (Nita), JoEllen Marcinek (Chris) and DeEllen Shope (Michael).
