She was predeceased by: her father Babe Delight; her husband Kedric Sowers; her son David Sowers; and her sister Nancy Servies. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Ellis (Gary), Keddy Sowers (Carol), Dan Sowers (Kim), Tom, Don and Beverly Canterbury; her grandchildren, Darin Ellis (Shanna), Christy Owings (Ryan), Craig Sowers (Kelsey Hammer), Ryan Sowers (Cari), Ross Ginter (Sarah), Blaise Ginter (Cassandra), Brody Sowers (Briana) and Abram Sowers (Stefaney); her siblings, Carolyn Foster (John), Charles Hudson (Jan) and Rita Hamm; her sister-in-law Kaye Blacketer; and her caregivers, Kevin, Amanda and Chloe Shoaf. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
