He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Walter and Tennis Walter (Deardurff); his siblings, Paul Allen Walter (Brother), Helen Jean Walter (Sister) and Harold Walter (Brother); and his grandson Alexander Walter.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie (Woodruff); his children, Michael Walter (Ashley), Dan Walter (Erica), Cassie Phelan (TJ) and Stacy Banks (Scott); his grandchildren, Brendan Walter, Kyle Banks, Tylar Walter, Hunter Banks, Hannah Banks, Isabel Kogiones, Kirstin Banks, Delilah Phelan, Simone Walter, Isla Walter, Charlie Phelan, Corinna Walter, Sienna Walter and Bella Walter; his great grandchild Jaydon Banks; and his siblings, Bob Walter, Russ Walter (Laury) and MaryAnn Stockberger (Ron).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rannells Funeral Home - Koontz Lake Chapel (7984 IN-23, Walkerton, IN 46574). A rosary was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Church (801 Tyler St, Walkerton, IN 46574). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
