He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Knowlton and Thelma Knowlton (Baker); and his granddaughter Ashley Grzeskowiak. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Eberly; his children, Wendy Mallett (Eric) of St. Paul, MN, Kelly Grzeskowiak (David) of South Bend, Timothy Knowlton of North Liberty and Loren Knowlton (Gwen) of South Bend; his grandchildren, Odin Mallett, Maya Knowlton, Gabrielle Knowlton, Kira Grzeskowiak and Andrew Knowlton (Renee); his great grandchildren, Parker, Hayes and Teddy Knowlton; and his brothers, Donald Knowlton (Janet) and Robert Knowlton (Rose).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Liberty Christian Church.
