He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Newhart and Betty Newhart (Louks); his uncles, Richard Hamilton and David Newhart; his sisters, Sue Britton and Ruth Willis; and his sister-in-law Jackie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. McFarland; his children, Michelle Fross (J. V. Williams) of Guernsey, Wyoming, Teresa Gilchrest (Willie) of Spokane, Missouri and Brandon Newhart (Brianna Berry); his uncle Raymond Hamilton (Georgia); his aunt Sandra Newhart; his father-in-law Jack McFarland (Joyce); and his brothers-in-law, Don Willis and Rick McFarland. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
