She was predeceased by: her parents, Hector Abenante and Rose Cutie (Guitilla); her husband Louis Thiesen; her grandson Joseph Thiesen; and her sister Louise Lesko.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Riggs of Walkerton, Barbara Barnes of Koontz Lake, Louis Thiesen (Deborah) of Homer Glen, IL and Robert Thiesen of Valparaiso; her grandchildren, Donald, Dustin, Robert, Thomas, Steven, Kyle and Jenna; her siblings, Shirley Hair and Michael Schoiber (Amy); and her godson Ken Keeler (Diane). She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Serafina's memory may be made to David's Courage or Comfort One Hospice.
