She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Hicks and Sandra Lee Hicks Chapman (Bailey); her mother-in-law Patricia Byrd; her close friend Jodi Fairchild; her uncle Raymond Alexander; her nephew William Jones; and her stepbrother Matthew Bair.

She is survived by: her husband Scott Brian Byrd; her children, Scottie Byrd, Jr. and Hope Byrd; her siblings, James Hicks of Knox, IN, Ryan Chapman of La Porte, IN, Valory Hicks of North Carolina and Kathy Harradon (Don) of Knox, IN; her sister-in-law Janice DeLee (Chris) of La Porte, IN; and her father-in-law Larry Byrd (Prudence) of La Porte.
