He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Riley White and Flora White (Collins); his wife Olean White (Parks); his daughter Carmalee Tanksley; his siblings, William Jay (Marylee White), James White, Dennis Collins and Christine Vanloon; his brother-in-law Robert Smith; his daughter-in-law Antoinette "Sis" Mullins; his sons, Clarence Mullins (Jo Hein) of Mishawaka, Jerry Lynn White (Edith) of Obbach, Germany and Russell Jay White (Cindy) of Summerfield, FL; and his siblings, Burl C. White (Faye) of Kingsbury, Vongray Collins (Sharen) of Salyersville, Kentucky, Paul Edward Collins of Salyersville, Kentucky, Imojean Smith of Walkerton, Cleo Collins of Rensselaer, Wilma Risner of Salyersville, Kentucky, Wanda Sue Jordan (Jack) of Salyersville, Kentucky and Martha Perkins of Salyersville, Kentucky. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
