He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Borton and Helen C. Borton (Nelson); his wife Shirley Borton (Justice); and his siblings, Howard, James, Keith, Merle, Carl and Iona Cole.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Borton of Walkerton, Pamela Fox of Bremen and Kimmy McCallum of Bourbon; his stepchildren, Jamie Linback of Knox and Casey Linback of Walkerton; his grandchildren, Jeremy Fox of South Bend, Evan Fox of Teegarden, Tosha Cox (Kendrick) of Osceola, Karissa Green (Brayden) of Walkerton, Nickolas McCallum (Miranda) of North Judson and Oaklen Clemons of Knox; his siblings, Terry (Darlene) of North Liberty, Dale (Lorraine) of Walkerton, Glen (Pam) of South Bend and Zella Luallen of Galesburg, IL; and his nephew Lawrence "Bugs". He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
