He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Lemert and Dorothy Lemert (Helterbrand); his former wife Mary Jane Lemert (Bradford); his wife Hazel D. Lemert (Bradford); his stepparents, Harold Whitaker and LaWayne Lemert; his daughter Sandra "Janie" Hartsell; his brothers, Claude Lemert and Dennis Lemert; and his close friend Gene Whitaker.
He is survived by: his father-in-law Ghern "Simon" Bradford; his children, Linda L. Rotruck (David) of South Bend, Angie R. Glennon (Tim) of Walkerton and Michael C. Lemert (Becky) of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Amanda Klein (Philip), John Rotruck (Kim Linner), Led Lemert (Vi), Michael Lemert, Jason Hartsell (Amanda), Brad Hartsell (Amanda), Katelyn McGriff (Anthony), Christopher Glennon (Audra) and Jennifer Glennon (Casey Kantorowski); his great grandchildren, Tanner, Scyler, Harper, Haley, Holden, Logan, Jane, Braxton, Caroline, Presley, Landon, Noah, Jaydee and Carah; his sister Faye Evans of Sandusky, OH; his son-in-law Gordon Hartsell of Plymouth; and his pet Izzy.
