With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carla Preston of Walkerton, Indiana, born in La Porte, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2024 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Searfoss and Byrdie Searfoss; her husband Jack N. Preston; and her daughter Lisa Meck. She is survived by: her children, Jack Preston, II (Kelly) of North Liberty and Susan Allen (Shawn) of Walkerton; her grandchildren, Clayton Chitwood, Hayley Day (Nathan), Tiffany Basurto (Rachael), Zachary Cobern, Devon Fant, Machayla Allen, Chelsea O'Connor (Austin), Dakota Allen (Grace), Collin Smalley and Lucas Cobern (Alexis); and her sisters, Lora McMillen (Mike) of Plymouth, Janet Cook (Dave) of Plymouth and Brenda Calhoon (Walter) of Plymouth. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
